For all of the attention that guns and melee weapons will get, armor is just as important in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. It not only provides points for specific skills, thus increasing their power, but can free up those points for other skills in the tree. So instead of spending two points on a skill, you only need to spend one to unlock it – the armor will then increase its level, leaving you with a free skill point to use elsewhere.
With the Legendary armor sets, it’s also possible to obtain a boost to your class’s power along with various passive bonuses. The best Legendary armor in the game is, without a doubt, the Amalgam. Along with points for two specific skills and an increase to class power, it drops with a whopping five passive bonus. This comes at the cost of a unique bonus which all other Legendary armor has but the stat increases are more than worth it.
You can find the Amalgam in the Weepwild Dankness where the Ancient Obelisk is located (near the fast travel point for the Busted-Ass Ruins). It drops from Monstrous Shrooms so there’s quite a bit of farming to be done. Remember that it can drop with different affixes and bonuses so it may take multiple tries before you find the drop that suits your build.

- Blank Slate – Increases XP gain by 10 percent. May have other passive bonuses or none. It’s a world drop so it can drop from anywhere (thus making it tougher to farm). Good for when you want to replay the game and level a second character.
- Calamity – Briefly increases Fire damage by 10 percent, stacking up to 10x, for each unique foe that you’ve hit. Obtained from the Ancient Obelisk in Sunfang Oasis from Oculus enemies.
- Claw – Drops from the Obsidian Wyvern at the Ancient Obelisk in Tangledrift. Converts companion damage into E damage and also increases E damage by 20 percent on foes that have been hit by companions.
- Corrupted Platemail – Quest reward from “Fatebreaker”, it’s obtained from the Dragon Lord in the Crest of Fate. Increases Dark magic efficiency by 30 percent while converting 30 percent of damage dealt to Dark magic damage.
- Deathless Mantle – Drops from the Death Rattler at the Ancient Obelisk in The Fearamid. Reduces Ward regen delay by 50 percent but reserves your entire HP pool, save for 1 HP, and increases Ward Capacity by 150 percent. In short, it’s like Chaos Inoculation from Path of Exile and meant for those favoring Ward builds.
- Diamond Gauntlets – Drops from minibosses in the endgame Chaos Chamber. When standing still, gain 50 percent increased crit chance, Dark Magic efficiency and damage for a specific element.
- Head of the Snake – Obtained from Salissa in Sunfang Oasis as part of the quest “The Ditcher.” Teleports hydra companions to one’s self on a periodic basis with kills extending the hydras’ duration by 30 percent.
- Pandemecium – Quest reward from “Walk the Stalk”, obtained by killing Parasite in the Tangledrift. When an enemy is suffering from Poison damage over time, they have 15 percent chance to explode, dealing a certain amount of Poison damage to nearby foes.
- Selective Amnesia – Quest reward from “Fatebreaker” in The Fearamid. When taking non-elemental damage, you’ll have the Fire status effect (meaning you’re on fire). This increases movement speed and leaves a fire trail for three seconds while increasing damage dealt based on movement speed.
- Smart Armor – Obtained as a quest reward from “Slayer of Vorcanar” by slaying Vorcanar in Mount Craw. Increases critical damage by 50 percent but reduces critical hit chance by 50 percent.
- Warped Paradigm – Quest reward from “A small Favor” by slaying Kastor in Tangledrift. Increased ability damage will increase spell and melee damage by 50 percent.
