All of us at Enhance are extremely excited for the launch of Tetris Effect: Connected — available now with Xbox Game Pass and optimized for Xbox Series X|S. Whether you’re playing on either of the new Xbox consoles, an Xbox One, or a Windows 10 PC, we really hope you’ll check it out!
There’s a ton of new content in the various multiplayer modes, and aGameScout from the Classic Tetris community did a wonderful job explaining each of them. Check out his deep dive videos below to learn all about the new multiplayer component of Tetris Effect.
Intro to Tetris Effect: Connected‘s Multiplayer Modes
Classic Score Attack Mode: a special variation on Score Attack mode, Classic Score Attack, which brings back the look and feel of Tetris from when it was first introduced to console gamers over 30 years ago. More than just a nostalgic coat of paint, Classic Score Attack recreates the classic controls and settings, including the removal of Hard Drop and the Hold Queue, Tetriminos Lock Down immediately when they touch a surface, and random Tetrimino generation.
Zone Battle Mode: a one-on-one match of standard competitive Tetris, but with a twist: the time-stopping Zone mechanic (first introduced in Tetris Effect’s single-player game)
Connected Mode: three players can team up and literally connect their Matrix play fields to fight against A.I.-controlled Bosses.
We’ll be watching and reading as everyone gets their hands on the game, and adjusting balance (and potentially other things) based on feedback — so let us know what you think!
Tetris® Effect: Connected
Tetris® Effect: Connected adds an all-new robust multiplayer expansion to the huge variety of addictive and innovative single-player modes that Tetris Effect is known for with all-new co-op and competitive online and local multiplayer modes!
Tetris Effect is Tetris® like you’ve never seen it, or heard it, or felt it before—an incredibly addictive, unique, and breathtakingly gorgeous reinvention of one of the most popular puzzle games of all time, from the people who brought you the award-winning Rez Infinite and legendary puzzle game Lumines.
Music, backgrounds, sounds, special effects—everything, down to the Tetris pieces themselves, pulse, dance, shimmer, and explode in perfect sync with how you’re playing, making any of the game’s 30+ stages and 10+ modes something you’ll want to experience over and over again.
A challenge for the mind and a feast for all the senses, Tetris Effect: Connected is the perfect excuse to play Tetris again… and again…and again, and again, and again and again and again and again and again and again and…
