So, to give you all a quick update…
???? Necrobarista is 100% done. It’s gone gold! ????
We have finished up all the polishing and last-minute bugfixes, and we’re very very happy with how the game’s looking and playing.

Route 59 broke the news through the official Twitter account for the game. Even though the “i”s have been dotted and the teas have been brewed, the developer isn’t sure when the game will launch. “Our publishing partners decide on a date to release the game. This means the answer is still ‘soon’, but it’s more of a ‘pretty soon’ than a ‘vaguely soon’,” explained Route 59. For now, the team will be putting their feet up, because they’ve been hard at work on the project since 2015.
Necrobarista’s turned out pretty special.
Can’t wait to share it with you. ❤????☕

“Inspired equally by film and anime, Necrobarista is a unique take on the visual novel medium. Follow a dynamic and diverse cast of characters as they navigate Melbourne’s hipstery coffee culture, the questionable ethics of necromancy, and the process of letting go,” reads the game’s description on Steam. Necrobarista also features a soundtrack from Kevin Penkin, the BAFTA-nominated composer for Florence, Made in Abyss, and Norn9. Arabic, Korean, Russian, and eleven other languages are supported for the visual novel, and Route 59 guarantees that the game will receive “significant” extras post-launch.
Necrobarista is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Watch the gameplay trailer below.
