Greedfall developer Spiders has released a new gameplay trailer of their next project, French-Revolution-with-robots action-adventure Steelrising.
Shown off during last night’s Nacon Connect, the new footage shows off some combat against King Louis XVI’s automated army in the alt-history adventure. You’ll be playing as Aegis, bodyguard to Marie Antoinette, and you also happen to be an automaton yourself.
The game was first revealed last summer, and promises to let you explore the burning streets of Paris as you complete sidequests to help you upgrade yourself with new abilities and weapons as you confront your clockwork foes. Think Bloodborne-meets the 2006 Doctor Who episode The Girl in the Fireplace, and you’re along the right lines.
Check out the gameplay trailer for yourself below. Steelrising is currently scheduled for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC in June 2022.
