BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America announced that video games industry veteran Ross Borden will be joining the company as vice president of marketing. The position comes with a focus on its games-as-a-service sector as well as expanding its digital marketing and communications capabilities and customer relationship management (CRM) programs. Borden’s posting is effective immediately. Contractual details were not disclosed.
“Today, video games offer more entertainment options, through more platforms, for a wider range of players, than ever before in its history,” said Ross Borden, vice president of marketing at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “I look forward to opening new avenues of growth for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment’s business in the Americas.”
Before his appointment at BANDAI NAMCO, Borden held marketing and publishing leadership roles throughout his career at companies such as Namco, NCSOFT, and Robot Entertainment.
BANDAI NAMCO publishes a number of fighting games including TEKKEN 7, Samurai Shodown, SOULCALIBUR VI, and Dragon Ball FighterZ. All of these titles are part of the Evolution Championship Series 2020, which takes place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas July 31 – Aug. 2.
