Riot Games has unveiled Riot Forge, its new publishing label that will let independent third-party developers produce “completable” League of Legends titles (via VG247).

“We empower our partner studios and enable them to find their own voice within the League of Legends universe,” read the official website for Riot Forge. “We guide them through the wealth of knowledge built over the last 10 years and help them stay true to League lore or advance it, by finding their own space to tell their story and re-imagine League in their own style.” Riot Games divulged that it has several of these “completable” games in the works, and one will be revealed at The Game Awards on December 12.

Riot Forge will be publishing games for PC, console, and mobile platforms, and their content will link to the world of League of Legends in some fashion. Imaginably, these will be single-player and story-driven experiences that will be supported by Riot Games through, “QA, localization, voice-overs, research, marketing, and more.” The developer is also seeking other developers to get in touch if they have ideas for a new League of Legends adventure, and interested parties will be able to sign up for updates on the official site.

Recently, news broke of the details apropos Riot Games’ settlement of its class-action lawsuit filed in 2018. Around 1,000 female employees who worked for the developer between November 2014 and the final date of the settlement will qualify for compensation from a $10 million fund. Riot Games was accused of generating a toxic workplace culture wherein sexual harassment was acceptable behaviour. “The settlement is another important step forward, and demonstrates our commitment to living up to our values and to making Riot an inclusive environment for the industry’s best talent,” the company said in a statement.
