Ethan “Stratus” Yankel, a former player who became streamer for the Washington Justice, mutually parts ways with the team.
Another week, another change for the Washington Justice. After Elliot “ELLIVOTE” Vaneryd leaving the team and Seung-jun “Sup7eme” Han switching from Development Coach to Head Coach, there is movement in the content creation staff of the team. Ethan “Stratus” Yankel, former flex DPS for the team — who went full-time streamer for the Washington Justice — mutually parts ways with the team.

After a year and a half as their player, Yankel only streamed for the Washington Justice for a month. Grant Paranjape, VP of the Washington Justice, explained on Reddit that both Yankel and the team didn’t feel this partnership was beneficial for either of them. The Washington Justice fanbase didn’t bring Yankel any additional viewers; and the former player wasn’t excited with the idea of staying with his past team to make content.
Yankel now has the opportunity to keep on streaming with no ties with an organization. As such, he no longer has to stream Overwatch, and can play any game he likes. Recently, he streamed The Last of Us II, who came out yesterday.
