Danish organization North has announced a new sponsorship deal with audio company Sennheiser, which includes logo placement on the team’s jerseys.
North is currently competing in the $1M USD StarLadder Berlin Major for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the players will wear the Sennheiser logo on their sleeves while also using Sennheiser headsets during play. The deal runs through the end of 2019, and North’s FIFA and Apex Legends teams are also included in the partnership.
“We’re really proud to be supporting such a prestigious team and are excited about our partnership with North,” said Tim Völker, Sennheiser’s vice president of sales, marketing, and product management for gaming, in a release. “We hope that, with our audio expertise on board, North will reach even greater heights within esports.”
Sennheiser also sponsors NRG Esports and its San Francisco Shock Overwatch League team, as well as SK Gaming and Newbee. The company is also partnered with ESL and production company Beyond the Summit. In addition to Sennheiser, North is also sponsored by betting portal Pinnacle, consulting and technology firm Capgemini, and apparel maker We Are Nations.
