Continuing its steady stream of esports announcements, the Nevada Gaming Control Board has approved wagering on the Call of Duty League. This means that bookmarkers can now accept wagers on five of the most prominent professional esports leagues, as the Board previously signed off on the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), League of Legends European Championship (LEC), Overwatch League, and ESL Pro League.
The Call of Duty League returned to competition on April 10 after having canceled its home market events for the season due to the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) last month. Under the new structure, teams will compete in online tournaments which will retain the original structure and points system. Each event will be named after a particular team which will serve as the “host” for that tournament.
