Streamer and member of esports organization 100 Thieves Jack “CouRage” Dunlop has signed a deal with PepsiCo’s MTN DEW AMP GAME FUEL energy drink brand to become its latest brand ambassador. According to a release, Dunlop will attend various events on behalf of the brand and promote it on his stream, which is now broadcast on YouTube following the signing of a recent exclusive deal.
Dunlop is a prominent figure within the Call of Duty community as both an esports commentator and content creator. Mountain Dew and its ancillary brands have been prominent advertisers within the CoD scene, sponsoring game launches as well as esports events.
Last year on an earnings call, PepsiCo CEO Ramon Laguarta noted MTN DEW GAME FUEL’s focus on gaming as a key success point, crediting the brand among others as a reason for the company’s 4.5% organic revenue growth in Q2 2019.
