Xbox Game Studios announced that the Java Edition 1.15 of Minecraft added bees to the lo-fi farming and building sim to relax to. And they are so cute.
Bees are neutral mobs, and Bee Nests spawn naturally in Flower Forests, Plains, and Sunflower Plains biomes. If a Bee does sting the player, it will leave its stinger behind and die with no drops. Bees are attracted to flowers, gathering pollen from its favourite blooms with its friends, and returning back to the Bee Nest. When a bee completes its run to and from the Nest uninterrupted, the level of honey in the Nest increases, to a maximum of five levels of honey.
Using an empty glass bottle on a Hive or Nest will fill it with honey, which can be crafted into sugar, but just watching them bumble about is adorable.
Java Edition 1.15 also fixed some actual bugs in Minecraft, which are listed on the update post here. Build 19W34A is available to download right now. Thank you, Hastune Miku.
