HAL Laboratory is recruiting developers for a new Kirby project, and offers the potential candidates a studio with a lovely view of Mount Fuji (via Siliconera).
The new Kirby project seems to be a significant one, as the recruitment drive is to boost the development power of the current team and specifically asks for applicants with high level technical skills. Kirby’s Epic Yarn used an innovative art style for its story, knitting Kirby and characters into fabric, which gave him the ability to transform into different objects to platform across the levels. This was a pretty impressive achievement compared to his previous adventures, and the game was ported to the Nintendo 3DS earlier this year as Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn.
HAL Laboratory is looking for programmers, artists, designers, and project managers who would give their all to a Kirby project, from the bigger picture to the tiny details that make Kirby games unique. That the company is also selling the view of Mount Fuji in the advertisement is quite sweet and irreverent too.
