Galaxy Racer, an esports organization, located in Dubai, has signed a three-year agreement with the Spanish football league LaLiga. According to the press release, the deal will see LaLiga players provide coaching sessions for Galaxy Racer’s future esports stars around the region. Furthermore, with this partnership, LaLiga will grant Galaxy Racer access to a number of their football-related media rights.
This partnership is only one of many recent outreach efforts by an organization looking to become a global player in esports. They have already signed a sponsorship deal with Vodafone Arabia and are in talks with other regional telecom providers as well as sponsorships from top global brands like Audi and Coca-Cola.
The world of competitive sports is rapidly changing, and these changes are finally starting to reach into esports. Galaxy Racer’s partnership with LaLiga is a timely boost to their efforts to establish a serious presence in this burgeoning industry. It will also help them build on the momentum they gained with their recent partnership with Vodafone Arabia.
Ashish Sarna, CMO at Galaxy Racer, said, “We are delighted to have signed such an agreement with LaLiga. This will help us expand our footprint into the region in a very significant way. We are also excited that they are supporting the growth of esports in the region.”
