The former Team Liquid Fortnite player found a new home.
FaZe Clan has officially added top NA East player Evan “Cented” Barron to their roster. After recently becoming a free agent from Team Liquid, Cented experienced only a few days as a free man. Theories began flooding social media as to the six-time FNCS Finalist’s potential landing spots. Some believed that he would join long-time duo partner Ben “Edgey” Peterson on NRG, but that’s not the case. He will instead join fellow Fortnite pros Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson, Timothy “Bizzle” Miller and several others on FaZe.

The esports organization couldn’t resist Cented, who is arguably a top-five player in the NA East region. A self-proclaimed “lowground king,” Cented and trio teammates Commandment and Edgey have been a dominant force in the competitive Fortnite scene.
FaZe Clan produced a short compilation of clips to welcome their newest player. Cented is not a particularly outspoken player who lets his gameplay do the talking. It’s a significant addition for FaZe after recently inking Fortnite World Cup standout Thiago “k1ng” Lapp to expand their reach to South America. Now, Cented will represent one of the most recognizable organizations in esports.

Although he missed out on the Fortnite World Cup, Cented rapidly ascended the ranks over the last two years. He began his career in the NA West region, where he dominated the competition alongside Edgey and 100 Thieves member Brodie “rehx” Franks. These three finished third in FNCS Season X and then added World Cup Finalist Shane “EpikWhale” Cotton for Chapter 2 – Season 1. They finished third in squads before Cented and Edgey moved to the NA East region.
From Chapter 2 – Season 2 forward, here are Cented’s placements in significant competitions:
- 9th place in FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 2
- 80th place in the FNCS Invitational
- 2nd place in FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 4
The final competition of Chapter 2 – Season 5 is on the horizon. Cented, Edgey and Commandment are some of the favorites to win the latest FNCS, which would be an outstanding accomplishment mere days after signing with FaZe Clan.
