Yesterday, Spanish developer Ego Nino Games S.L., which created the mobile esports platform eGoGames, announced that it has closed a €3M EUR ($3.3M USD) Series A investment led by the president of Société Générale Group, Donato González; the president of Gestamp, Francisco Riberas; and Jaime Martín Laborda, founding partner and CEO of Millennial Gaming.
According to the company’s CEO, Alejandro Sáez, the investment valued Ego Nino Games at €30M ($33M). Furthermore, the company stated that the proceeds of the financing round will be used to develop its product further and focus B2B business efforts.
eGoGames was founded by entrepreneurs Alejandro Sáez and Baldomero Sánchez. Marcos Eguillor, a co-founder of MAD Lions E.C.; Jaime Martín Laborda, founding partner and CEO of Millennial Gaming; and Alvaro Rodriguez, have since joined the company.
In September 2018, Ego Nino Games raised a €300K ($330K) seed investment. Investors participating in the previous round included Pedro Serrahíma, founder of Pepephone and current director of multi-brand business development of Telefónica; and entrepreneur Francisco Riberas.
