Sadly, Yang is no longer a part of Vici Gaming.
August is the month when most Dota 2 fans are really happy because they can watch the biggest Dota 2 event of the year. However, due to the fact that TI was postponed, some of the teams have decided to take a break, especially in China. Sadly, the OMEGA League doesn’t have a division there, which means that there are no big events right now.
As a result, many of the teams have decided to make some roster changes. One of the first nones that took action was Vici Gaming. The legendary team decided to remove Zhou “Yang” Haiyang. Even though this might be surprising for some, there were rumors that this was going to happen.
In fact, those same rumors even stated that Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun is also leaving the team. Nevertheless, we don’t have any confirmation about this yet. Supposedly, these two players had to make a switch, but we are yet to see what will happen.
Yang leaves the club
If you’re a fan of the Chinese powerhouse, you know that Yang joined Vici back in 2015. During those fifteen years, he proved himself as one of the best players in the world. Together with his team-mates, Yang has won numerous tournaments and a pretty impressive amount of money.
In fact, many people even considered him to be the best offlaner in the world at one point.
After the changes, VG’s roster is the following:
- Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun
- Zeng “Ori” Jiaoyang
- Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan
- Ding “Dy” Cong
Apart from these changes, we are also expecting a lot more soon. As for Yang, we still don’t know what will happen to him. Needless to say, a player of his caliber will probably join one of the other powerhouses in the region, such as LGD.
