Dota 2: The International 10 Prize Pool Is Over $30,000,000

The International 10 now has a prize pool of over $30M USD.

Dota 2 is one of the biggest esports when it comes down to prize pools. Every TI always breaks the record for the highest prize pool. That’s why it’s no surprise that this one is about to do it as well.

However, before this happens, The International 10’s prize pool just hit $30M USD.  This makes it the second-biggest esports prize pool in the world, just after TI 9. In case you forgot, last year’s TI had a prize pool of over $34M USD. Nonetheless, that number was reached over a total of 111 days, whereas now, the current prize pool was accumulated in just 61 days, which is even more impressive.

TI 9’s prize pool was also really interesting to follow because it took just 74 days to reach to $30M USD. Even though people thought that it was impossible to improve on that, Dota 2 fans have shown that nothing is impossible.

One of the reasons for the latest prize pool increase was Valve’s reveal of the Immortal Treasure II. Needless to say, this was one of the most anticipated items of this year’s Battle Pass.

What’s even more exciting though, is that we still haven’t seen everything that this Battle Pass has to offer. Apart from the Immortal Treasure III, Valve might have additional rewards for us. This would allow TI 10’s prize pool to grow even more.  Also, let’s not forget we still have one more Arcana to see (Windranger). Needless to say, the Arcana is definitely among the most anticipated rewards. On top of that, the Battle Pass will be available for a few more days than it was last year.

That’s what makes us think it’s just a matter of time before the prize pool surpasses the one of TI 9. Once that happens, this will become the biggest ever esports prize pool.
