Kojima Productions has announced that Death Stranding has gone gold, a little over one month before its launch for PlayStation 4 on November 8.
Back in August, Hideo Kojima had stated that the Death Stranding team were experiencing the ‘crunch time of dev’, but added a rainbow emoji after the fact. This raised alarm that the developers were struggling to balance completing the game with their own health and well-being, and Kojima seemed to be toting it as a badge of honour.
‘Thanks for your support, we can’t wait to bring you a new “A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME”,’ it stated, with a photo of joyous Kojima Productions staff and Kojima cradling the physical disk. It even has a little handprint slapped on it in blue sharpie. That’s dedication to the brand.
Death Stranding will launch on PlayStation 4 on November 8. There’s a Death Stranding Limited Edition PS4 Pro, with a golden translucent controller that’s meant to match the BB pod. It reminds me of something else, though.
