Popular Twitch streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop has signed an exclusive streaming deal with YouTube, continuing the recent trend of platforms signing away notable content creators.
Dunlop is a former Halo and Call of Duty commentator who became a full-time content creator. He previously was a member of OpTic Gaming and now streams for 100 Thieves. He is best known for streaming Fortnite, but has also streamed games such as Minecraft, Borderlands 3, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in recent months.
His first stream on YouTube under the deal will take place today, Nov. 5. Dunlop already has nearly 1.9M subscribers on YouTube, and his videos have logged more than 279M views to date.
“YouTube uniquely offers CouRage the ability to focus on both live streaming and VOD in a way that no other platform can, and we think his YouTube community will be excited he’s now combining both of these content formats in one place,“ said YouTube Head of Gaming Ryan Wyatt, in a release. “We are continuing to invest in our live business in gaming in many ways, and bringing Jack over is just another way of bolstering our presence in this space.”
Fellow streamers Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek have both signed exclusive streaming deals with Microsoft’s Mixer platform, both leaving sizable Twitch followings behind in the process. All three streamers are represented by influencer management firm Loaded.
