Stephanie “missharvey” Harvey, a former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player, has rejoined Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) in a new role.
As the newly-created director of esports franchise development and outreach, Harvey will “[engage] with the female esports community to provide a platform for inclusivity-focused esports programming,” according to a release. She will also work alongside CLG’s partners and help develop initiatives and opportunities for women and people of color.
“Stephanie is a legend in the esports industry. Having played professionally for 16 years, we recognize the expertise and innovative mindset that she brings to CLG,” said Counter Logic Gaming COO Dan Fleeter, in a release. “As an organization, we are committed to growing esports by empowering all those that play, and Stephanie shares in our vision. Bringing her back into the CLG family to work on these initiatives is incredibly exciting.”
Harvey previously played for the organization’s CLG Red women’s CS:GO team from 2015-17 and 2018-19 before departing this past spring. She has also competed for SK Gaming and Ubisoft’s UBINITED teams in the past. She is also currently advising the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on how to integrate and implement video games and esports into future Olympic Games, according to CLG’s release.
