Global revenue amplification company Playwire and online chess platform Chess.com have entered into an exclusive digital advertising partnership. As a result, Playwire is boosting its presence in the gaming industry and Chess.com gains access to relevant brands in the space. Both brands certainly have a lot to gain here.
For those out of the loop, Chess.com has risen to prominence in the past few months. The platform has been serving the chess community since 2005, but the mainstream has picked up on it this year through popular Twitch streamers, namely GM Hikaru Nakamura, Felix ‘xQc” Lengyel and Charlie “moistCr1TiKaL” White. Chess.com hosted a tournament between streamers, named the Pogchamps, a month ago, and are hosting the second Pogchamps in August.
Chess.com is reaching new heights through platforms like Twitch and Playwire has the capabilities to take them even further. They’ll help Chess.com reach more audiences and increase their revenue growth. In return, Playwire is taking another step towards further diversifying its media portfolio in gaming, esports and entertainment.
