With a significant esports scene, crossplay has been the priority of the free-to-play fighting game for some time now. Firstly, Switch and Xbox players were able to play together after servers were synergised and patches were rolled out to cross the ‘t’s and dot the ‘i’s. Then, PC players were added to the fray and now finally, all players across all platforms will take up the gauntlet with each other.
Every player, irrespective of platform, will now be matched in online queues and partake in custom lobbies. With regards to the competitive season, this means that the PS4 players are now included in the skirmishes, and will surely make for dynamic dust-ups. ‘This next phase in cross-play integration is another huge step for Brawlhalla and our players,’ the developer said in the update announcement. ‘We will continue to work on making your Brawlhalla experience as smooth and fun as possible. Thank you for being with us on this journey.’
Brawlhalla is out now for PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One.
