The BLAST Premier CSGO esports tournament series has renewed and expanded its media rights agreement with Chinese live streaming service DouYu.
As part of the agreement, DouYu will retain exclusive broadcast rights in China for the remainder of the BLAST Premier 2021 season, as well as streaming rights on Huya and Bilibili’s platforms. Furthermore, by organising a BLAST Premier Fall Qualifier, DouYu will be able to hold BLAST’s first-ever event in China.

“In accordance with our objective to work up with the world’s biggest broadcasters, we are happy to expand and extend our cooperation with Douyu for a second year,” said Alexander Lewin, BLAST’s VP of Distribution and Programming.
“Douyu’s esports skills and massive reach will continue to bring the best Counter-Strike entertainment to BLAST Premier’s Chinese following. We’re excited to collaborate with the Douyu team on the Chinese Qualifier and welcome Chinese CS:GO teams to the BLAST universe.”
The news comes after BLAST signed a slew of new media deals, including ones with SportsMax and Nordic Entertainment Group. As a result, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive series will be shown in a variety of countries, including Canada, India, and Lithuania.

According to the press announcement, the event organizer’s portfolio now includes over 35 media rights partners, with its product being broadcast in 18 languages and in 150 TV regions.
