Allied Esports and Simon Property Group announced their partnership in June 2019, in which the two companies announced plans to open a series of dedicated esports venues at Simon centers around the country. In conjunction with the centers, the two companies plan on co-producing a national amateur esports tournament called the Simon Cup.

The location at the Mall of Georgia, as well as additional future locations at Simon properties, will become key components of the Simon Cup moving forward, according to the release. Allied Esports and Simon have yet to announce specific details about that particular undertaking.
