We knew going into Gears 5 that Kait would be trying to exorcise her inner Locust. What we didn’t know is that she would succeed and that Reyna, her mother, presumed dead at the end of Gears of War 4, would re-emerge. Sure enough, Queen Reyna took control of the Locust, raged against the COG and even took Del or JD away to cement her evilness.
